Location Shots

This was a successful filming session and all the shots planned were completed. After this filming session we booked to work in the Mews for two periods where we would log our work and edit. I did most of the filming which took place in this location so Chiara said she would start editing. I came to the mews after she had already arrived and we begun to look at it and work together on what Chiara had already edited.

We used this black gate outside the house to film so quick shots of charlie behind ella as it added a really good effect, especially as it was dark you could not see him behind the gates. I thought an alley would be a good place to film as it is a convention of horror and thriller films that a character does become isolated in a specific area after trying to run and escape. 

Filming pictures

This was us filming the night shots of Charlie following Ella into her house. All the shots that we planned to film where successful and we even got some extra shots for our fast montage of single shots for the end of our trailer.

Cache/Hidden and new synopsis

To make our trailer slightly more scary/mysterious we took inspiration from the french move Cache - when a married couple is terrorized by a series of surveillance videotapes left on their front porch. We are going to add this to our concept by our character receiving DVDS of her doing daily things, for example filming outside her house coming in and out, filming from her garden looking into her house and even her sleeping.

This effected our synopsis:

A young Liv (Ella Mitchell) walks home from college yet she doesnt know someone mysterious is following her home. Oblivious to anyone around her, she approaches her road onto her front porch and opens the door. The next day she receives an anonymous DVD posted to her saying "Play me" so she does. She is overcome with confusion when she realizes the film is a long shot of outside her house. After finding out its none of her friends playing tricks on her, she receives more DVDs this time getting more and more intamate. She starts to panic and becomes tormented by the DVD's and searches whatever she can to try and find out who is obsessed with her. Will she find out before its too late....?

Inspiration for filming ( establishing shot )

At the start of our tralier i wanted to create a sense of suspence and immediately set the scene with an establashing shot. After looking back at the different films and T.V shows I have watched I instantly thought of Attack The Block and Top Boy as I remembered they used dark establishing shots of the council estates that they where set which helped for different ideas as the start of our tralier is set in Trellik Tower estate.

Vox Pop

I wanted to create a montage/mashup type Vox Pop so we combined different narratives to make a new narrative. This added a lot more humour to our Vox Pop. Below are two videos which use the same type of editing to create a humorous and a more interesting video.

Inspiration

A few traliers from other films my group and I were inspirired by.
All of theses films have something to do with going back in time or being able to undo the past to change my future in some way.
